Applied Photography SIG – April 2017

When: Tuesday, April 4, 2017 @ 7:00pm
Where: Drummond Twsp Hall, 1920 Drummond Concession 7

We have all seen those stunning Black & White images that make us take a step back to admire the impact the photo has on us. But they lead us to ask a few questions - Why is it that some images make an outstanding Black & White photo while others are just so-so? Are their certain subjects that translate better than others? What program works well for editing a photo to black and white? Chris Crain (one of our members) will be discussing Black and White Photography on Tuesday evening. He will be addressing these questions, comparing images in colour and black and white, along with how to edit a black and white image using Nik Software’s Silver Efex plugin. We are sure that you will find this an interesting and helpful presentation.

Continuing with the Black & White theme we ask that you send us your own B&W photo and if you would like to include the colour version of it please do. Please send them to Linda by noon on Tuesday, April 4th.

We will be carrying on with the Famous Photographers theme with two more groups sharing their knowledge on the accomplished photographers they chose.

See you on Tuesday.
