The scheduled topic for this month was changed and will be replaced with the topic we missed in January.

Topic: Cloning and Healing Tools

When it comes to cloning or healing areas of our pictures, there are some tools we habitually use. However there are a number of them that may not be visible which provide more subtle ways to use them.

Our own Gordon Wolford will be demonstrating the various Cloning and Healing tools in photoshop as well as reviewing the Content Aware tools.

Famous Photographer Presentations

The evening will be spent hearing and seeing about some accomplished photographers who inspire and influence us to see beyond the lens, step out of our comfort zones and strive for that photo that will leave us saying “Wow, not bad at all”. For those of you presenting on Tuesday night we ask that you bring your work on a flash drive. We have PowerPoint Viewer on the club’s computer so shouldn’t have any problems opening your work if done in PowerPoint. If you have done your presentation in another format please give Linda a call and we‘ll check for compatibility.

We are really looking forward to learning from our members who have worked hard to put together their presentations. See you on Tuesday.

Directions from Perth:
Drive 9.5 km (from Blair’s Furniture Store) East on Hwy 7;
Turn left onto Drummond Conc 7 Road;
Drive 1.1 km,
Turn right into the parking lot of the township building

Regular Meeting – February 2017

When: Tuesday, February 28, 2017 @ 7:00 pm
Where: Algonquin College, Room 104

Guest Speaker: Sylvia Bumstead - “The Importance of Forms in Art History and Modern Photography”

Sylvia Bumstead returns as our guest speaker for part two of her presentation to review our assignment photos on geometric and organic shapes and forms. Sylvia’s presentation in January was informative and lively, forming the basis for the assignment. We look forward to your black and white submission as you applied her criteria and your own creative talent. Please send your photos for this challenge to Linda Mentzel and on the subject line identify your submission with the word Assignment. Please submit your photos by noon on Tuesday February 28th.

Theme Image and Anything Goes

Submit your ONE best shot for the “Theme” which this month is EMBRACE. Having just celebrated Valentine’s Day, I’m sure that there will have been many opportunities to meet this challenge. There are many other takes though to be explored with this theme - embrace of the sun on the landscape or those cuddling pets curled up together on the hearth. As always, your creative talents will be appreciated. We’re looking forward to your take on the Theme.

Please remember to have your photo submitted no later than NOON on Tuesday, February 28th as no late submissions or memory sticks will be able to be included in the presentation. Please send your Theme photo with your name and the title EMBRACE on the subject line to Robert Feduke.

“Anything Goes” submissions of 2 photos, to ensure that there is sufficient time to cover all our planned presentations are photos of your own choice. Please identify your them with your name and in the subject line please include the identifier of Anything Goes. Please send them to Robert Feduke by NOON on February 28th.
