IMPORTANT: Meeting has been cancelled due to the poor weather conditions and travel advisory
Hello everyone. The best of the season to all of you.
Thanks to everyone who came out to Upper Canada Village to photograph Christmas lights. We've been seeing some beautiful results already and now we want to see more.
Some of you participated in the scavenger hunt, but even if you didn't, you can play along with any night time images you have. I'd like you to submit images for a slideshow presentation in January, based on the scavenger hunt list. See how many of the following categories you can check off, by submitting one image per category. See if you can capture all 9.
Name your images using your name followed by the category # eg; SandraJ_3, SandraJ_5
The slideshow will have 9 categories. Images from each number will be shown as a group, so it's very important that you number yours correctly, so I know where it fits.
- 1. Bokeh (use a large aperture, ie; f/4)
- 2. Spritz the lights (use a small aperture ie; f/22)
- 3. ICM (Intentional Camera Movement)
- 4. Macro (or just get close)
- 5. Shallow depth of field
- 6. Deep depth of field
- 7. Wide angle
- 8. Long exposure
- 9. Multiple exposure
Images must be in by midnight on Dec. 30. to Sandra
The next Applied Photography meeting will be on Jan. 2, 7:00 p.m. , Drummond Centre
There will be a presentation by Wendy Wood on MACRO photography. You won't want to miss this one. Wendy will explain macro photography and show us how to get a winning shot.
There won't be an image theme other than the scavenger hunt slideshow.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you. Stay safe and we hope to see you at the meeting.
