When: Tuesday, September 24, 2013 @ 7:00 pm
Where: Algonquin College, Room 104
Guest Speaker: Jayni Bloch
For this month's meeting we are pleased to introduce you to Jayni Bloch. Jayni is a self-taught photographer and credits her husband Gerald for helping her discover photo technology. Since 2009 Jayni has been a member of the RA Photo Club winning many awards for her work. Her passion for photography is unstoppable and we shall be privy to her work titled: Intimate Moments - Eternal Stories Captured in Single Photographs. No doubt this will be a most interesting presentation - one filled with beauty and creativity. A great start to our 2013/2014 season.
Theme Image: DISAPPEARING TECHNOLOGY
Today it seems that technology is changing faster than the time it takes to buy a new gadget. So let your memories take over and see what you have around the house or get out there and search the junk yards and antique stores to find the perfect subject that depicts our theme for this month - Disappearing Technology.
You are encouraged to submit a photo of the pre-defined category to share with the other club members. We have found that submitting them via e-mail works really well as we can show them on the screen for easy viewing. Please send your photo to Linda Mentzel. Name your images with your first and last name and indicate in the e-mail subject line that it is for the theme DISAPPEARING TECHNOLOGY.
As part of a collaboration between the Perth Classic Theatre and the LCCC, Jean-Denis and Madeleine Labelle put together a slideshow of photos our members took around the town of Perth. They presented the slideshow one evening in July at the Perth Classic Theatre and received a great response. JD and Madeleine will be sharing the end result with our members at the meeting.
Any Image Goes Table
As in the past, you can submit more than one image for this segment. Again, we really like showing the images on the screen but you can bring your photo(s) in printed format with no restriction as to topic or size of photograph. If e-mailing your photo(s), please send them to Linda Mentzel with Any Image Goes in the subject line. Please name your images with your first and last name.
We encourage you to send/bring in your images and share them with the rest of the membership. It is always inspiring to see the work of fellow members, along with hearing about the inspiration and techniques used to achieve your image.
