When: Tuesday, September 27, 2016 @ 7:00 pm
Where: Algonquin College, Room 104
Welcome back to both our regular members and to those who are joining us for the first time. We have an exciting year planned and hope you are ready for a fun filled new season.
Guest Speaker: Mark Aidan Bergin
As Mark was unable to join us for our meeting last May, we are delighted that he has arranged to be our first speaker of the new 2016-2017 season.
Mark Aidan Bergin is a writer, editor and photographic artist. He is Resident Artist at Kingston’s Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning. If you would like to know what makes him such an interesting individual, please take a moment to check out his blog on arts and culture. His Valentine’s Day column titled “Be The Love” and his musings on New York City are revealing of his character. His recent project is titled photographing ballerinas Dancing in the Streets. We look forward to his interesting presentation.
Theme Image and Anything Goes
There is a change for this year as to the THEME submissions. In an effort to ensure we have sufficient time to view all the images and pose any questions to the photographer, we are asking that you only submit ONE photograph for the theme - so make it your best shot!
The theme this month is FENCES. Yes, they are numerous in Lanark County but knowing our members, I’m sure there will be some unusual and out of the box takes on this topic. Remember to have your photo submitted no later than NOON on Tuesday, September 27th as no late submissions or memory sticks will be able to be included in the presentation. Please send your Theme photo with your name and the title FENCES on the subject line to Robert Feduke.
Anything Goes submissions remain unchanged with up to 3 photos of your choice. After our summer break, we anticipate a lot of interesting and varied photos. Please identify your photos with your name and in the subject line please include the identifier of Anything Goes. Please send them to Robert Feduke by noon on the day of the meeting.
Your membership fee is requested to be in the form of cash (the exact amount would be appreciated) or cheque. LCCC Treasurer, Madeleine Labelle, will be available to expedite your registration.
(Registration Form available for download on the Membership information page.)
